This year, we are thrilled to present several fantastic Buy-A-Spot events to our school community! These offerings are part of Festa Primavera, so all proceeds directly benefit St. Helena Montessori School. Our deepest thanks go to all the generous donors that have put together these fun and memorable events to support our beloved school.

BUY-A-SPOT #10: Fiesta Time with the Primary 1 Staff

Have a great time with our cherished Primary 1 teachers and experience a real Mexican fiesta! The children will gather on the Primary 1 porch to learn about the cultural traditions of Mexico, including dressing up in traditional Mexican attire. The children will make their own personal piñatas and maracas to take home, and they will also help to prepare and taste delicious Mexican cuisine. The fiesta will end with the children learning a simple Mexican dance.

Date: Monday, June 9th from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Price: $75 per child (Limited to SHMS Primary children)

BUY-A-SPOT #12: Lights, Laughter, Action! A Cafeteria Kids Theater-Improv Workshop

Your children are invited to join director Olivia Cowell – acclaimed actress and beloved drama teacher – from Cafeteria Kids Theater for a morning of traditional theater games, improvisation, and dramatic fun. This creative session will take place on the school campus and will conclude with an open performance for friends and family to attend.

Date: August 18th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. (During Teacher Work Week over the summer break)
Price: $75 per child (Children MUST be at least 7 years old to enroll!)

The Adolescent Program students and staff are proud to host this beloved annual event at the school farm, where they will serve a delicious family-style, farm-to-table dinner prepared by the students. The meal will be thoughtfully paired with a selection of Adolescent Program family wines.

LIVE LOT #1: Red Carpet Premiere of a New School Year

Roll out the red carpet for an unforgettable kickoff to the new school year, surrounded by your SHMS family and a welcoming community of old and new friends! Your family is invited to an exclusive September soirée and cinematic celebration at Roger and Lauren Dickson’s stunning St. Helena estate. This event will be the perfect opportunity for our SHMS community to reconnect after summer and for new families to feel right at home. Beginning at 3:00 p.m., enjoy family-friendly activities – from whimsical carnival games to a thrilling rock wall – and plenty of ways for children and parents alike to bond and make new friends. As twilight falls, gather for a gourmet dining experience featuring artisanal wood-fired pizzas and SHMS dad Chris Blanchard’s legendary fried chicken, complemented by classic Southern sides. Then, take your seat under the stars for an enchanting open-air movie screening, complete with decadent treats, fine wines, and fancy Champagne.

This is more than just a spectacular event; it’s a chance to support and celebrate our beloved school, welcome new friends, and create lasting memories together. Don’t miss the premiere to a new school year and a beautiful evening of community, celebration, and cinematic magic!

LIVE LOT #13: SHOOT HAPPENS (Priced at $1,000 per couple)

Fifteen couples will enjoy the day together at Wing & Barrel Ranch, a private shooting and outdoor lifestyle club located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country. After morning coffee, head out to the beautifully-curated 25-acre Vintner Shooting Grounds – complete with 15 fully automated shooting stations, each containing three shooting positions displaying over 90 different target presentations. Hone your accuracy while engaging in good-natured competition with your spouse or best friend, and the winner with the highest score will receive a special gift!  Afterwards, retire to the clubhouse for a family-style lunch prepared by the Wing & Barrel chefs and paired with wines selected from the Ghost Block Estate library.

Price: $1,000 per couple (15 couples maximum)
